On 24 April 2026, Smart Agro Hub represented the REENFORCE project at the InnovinAgri 2026 event, hosted at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) in Athens, Greece.

The event brought together an active and engaged community of students, early-stage researchers and experienced research professionals, all gathered to explore the landscape of research funding and innovation in the agricultural sector.

Engaging the Research Community

Smart Agro Hub took the opportunity to present the REENFORCE project to the assembled research community, going beyond a standard project introduction to open a direct and substantive dialogue with participants. Researchers in attendance were invited to learn about REENFORCE's three core research pillars — bio-based and low-risk crop protection, ecotoxicological assessment, and smart spraying technologies — and to explore potential points of connection with their own work.

The discussion that followed the presentation was particularly productive, touching on the scientific challenges that REENFORCE is addressing, the opportunities for collaboration that the project creates, and the practical pathways through which researchers can become involved — including the project's upcoming secondment programme, which offers researchers the opportunity to spend time at partner institutions in Belgium.

A Platform for Meaningful Exchange

The InnovinAgri event, organised in collaboration with AUA, has established itself as an important platform for connecting the research community with funding opportunities and innovation support services. Its focus on practical guidance — from proposal writing to partnership building — made it an ideal setting for REENFORCE to engage with potential future collaborators and to raise awareness of the project's activities among the Greek research community.

Smart Agro Hub's participation reinforced the project's commitment to dissemination and knowledge exchange, ensuring that REENFORCE's outputs and opportunities reach as wide an audience as possible within the European research ecosystem.
